Daredevil & Elektra
Daredevil has become a favourite character to lots of people. In the comics he started as a sub Spider-Man, who was older and slightly more mature and except for a few early issues was completely a B list character, with his comic always being threatened with cancellation and was for a long time published bi-monthly (a sure sign of the times that a comic was about to be cancelled.) Then on issue #158, a new artist started called Frank Miller. It was a difficult start, as it was in mid-story and Frank Miller's art was nothing like anything being published by Marvel at the time, a slightly primitive and scratchy art. Ten issues later, on issue #168 in December 1981, Frank took on the writing as well as the art and created one of the most memorable characters ever, Elektra.
Daredevil
As a child, Matt Murdock was blinded by radioactive waste while saving a stranger. In turn, his other senses were heightened to superhuman sharpness, and he gained a form of "radar sense". A successful trial lawyer by day, by night he guards Hell's Kitchen as the "Man Without Fear" Daredevil.
