The Punisher
The Punisher is a vigilante who employs murder, kidnapping, extortion, coercion, threats of violence and torture in his war on crime. Driven by the deaths of his wife and two children, who were killed by the mob during a shoot-out in New York City's Central Park, the Punisher wages a one-man war on the mob and all criminals in general by using all manner of conventional war weaponry. His family's killers were the first to be slain. A war veteran, Frank Castle is a master of martial arts, stealth tactics, guerrilla warfare and a wide variety of weapons.
This is the cover of issue #6 of the 1st series of the Punisher, published in February 1988. Below is a Planet Studio pin made in 1987. Notice the pin is dated before the comic came out - even allowing the normal two - three months newsstand time, this pin was produced very quickly. I love the subtle differences, how the gas mask has become a scuba diving mask and the gas mist has turned into water

Made in 1991. Planet pin #BP2 big punisher skull This badge is twice as big as the pin of the same design (3.5cm x 5cm instead of 1.7 x 2.5cm) and also has a silver inset, instead of white as the smaller pin does. I'm afraid silver doesn't scan very well. I'm calling this a badge as it has a safety clip on the back rather than the normal spike.
